"World Cup Switzerland 2020 ::: Disentis"
Due to a passing front and associated rain clouds, the last day has been cancelled, thus bringing to an end Disentis 2020.
Well done to all those who have flown so well. The top ten overall are: 1st Stephan Morgenthaler (CHE), 2nd Luc Armant (FRA), 3rd Charles Cazaux (FRA), 4th Sebastian Ospina (GBR), 5th Philipp Haag (DEU), 6th Tilen Ceglar (SVN), 7th Michael Sigel (CHE), 8th Ferdinand Vogel (DEU), 9th Andreas Nyffenegger (CHE) and 10th Daniel Tyrkas (DEU).
Well done to the leading ladies: 1st = Seiko Fukuoka Naville (FRA) and Yael Margelisch (CHE), 3rd Laurie Genovese (FRA), 4th Constance Mettetal (FRA), 5th Emanuelle Zufferey (CHE).
Well done to all 22 partner teams taking part. The top five were: 1st Fly Turkey, 2nd Alas del Hombre, 3rd Gin Gliders, 4th Ozone and 5th Cross Country Magazine.
We were delighted to welcome 25 new pilots into the World Cup family for Disentis 2020. Well done to Christoph Dunkel (CHE) highest placed newcomer.
For the not so new, Disentis 2020 was a good opportunity to close the task win gap held by Hans Bollinger on 28 victories. At the top of the rankings here in Disentis 2020, Stefan Wyss (CHE) moved up a place to 22, Honorin Hamard to 11 (now equal with Michael Sigel) and Stephan Morganthaler to 9 (now equal with Andreas Pepe Malecki).
But above all, Disentis 2020 has been a fantastic get together of old friends, long standing rivals, new World Cup pilots and flying families. Well done and a big thank you to all those who have contributed to making Disentis 2020 such a tremendous success.
Just a reminder that we are still really looking forward to being reunited with the rest of our flying family and remain committed to continuing to run Paragliding World Cup competitions wherever and whenever it is safe to do so.
