Kokterek flying site is located in East Kazakhstan District of Kazakhstan. The nearest big city to get to the take off is Ust-Kamenogorsk (Oskemen) that is administrative center of the district. The mountain rigde heads towards Altay and is situated in between three lakes: Zaysan, Markakol and Bukhtarminskoe reservoir.
