August 30th - 95.6km, 70 pilots in goal

Sorry for the delay to have the last tasks results on the web site due to some health problem. Everything is fine now and here they are...

Today's was the longest task in Kayseri with 95.6 km to the east. With light northwest wind, good cumulus and cloudbase over 3000m, the flight is very nice over the flatlands and the hills. The "gaggle effect" makes the flight very fast with many pilots in goal. The landscape look almost the same as thousand years ago. The pilots can feel like flying in an historical movie during Bysantine empire or later, Ottoman empire. The big name of this time was Mehmed II, the conqueror who captured Constantinople (later called Istambul) when he was 21 years old. The conqueror of the day, Valic I, is a little older (26), but also fast, flying the task in 2:38. The first woman is Ewa Wisnierska, half an hour later, just 8 seconds in front of Anja Kroll.
